Western Europe, Spain, ca. 17th century CE. An impressive pair of Spanish iron zoomorphic door knockers, each with a heavy ring suspended from an animal's head. Each animal presents with its pointy ears, pronounced snout, flaring nostrils, and full set of fangs that create the appearance of a wolf. The striker plates are original to the knockers, and the pair would make quite the impression to any visitors knocking at your door! Size of each (both are relatively similar): 6.5" L x 4.75" W (16.5 cm x 12.1 cm)
