Northern Europe, England, Stuart Period, ca. 17th to 18th century CE. A short iron knife with a pretty gold inlay that was likely used as flatware for a table setting. Two maker's marks are faintly visible on the blade, including a cross or knife shape, and a face in profile. A gold inlay is set into both sides of the bolster in a vine pattern.
