Northern Europe or British North American colonies, ca. 1770s to 1790s CE. A nice example of a squat cylinder green glass bottle, popular in the later 18th century for holding port and other fortified alcoholic drinks like madeira. Pirates, Revolutionary War heroes, and famous figures of the Enlightenment all might have quaffed liquid transported in this bottle. Size: 3.35" W x 9.5" H (8.5 cm x 24.1 cm)
