Southeast Asia, modern day Vietnam, Anamese (sometimes Annamese), ca. 16th century CE. An elegantly crafted pottery bottle with a fluted piriform body, a corseted conical neck and an ornately flared lip. Its exterior register features a melodic floral motif gracefully painted within decoratively framed panels in a contiguous symmetrical fashion across each facet of its creamy white porcelain in hues of red, green, and ochre. Beautiful craquelure accents scattered areas of this vessel. Size: 5.75" W x 10.25" H (14.6 cm x 26 cm)
