Description:

**First Time At Auction**

Southeast Asia, Thailand, Sawankhalok (Sawankalok) culture, Sukhothai Period, ca. 16th century CE. A celadon pottery bowl with incised linear motif across its wide basin. Several narrow circular bands delineate the innermost and outermost sections of the basin, accented by striations that run parallel the circles. The walls are deeply flared, and the bowl has a rounded form set atop a flat discoidal foot. The buffware foot is highlighted by a fiery red-brown undertone. This is a well-preserved example with a nice craquelure over glazed portions. Size: 9.15" W x 3" H (23.2 cm x 7.6 cm)
