South Asia, India, ca. 16th Century CE. A cast-bronze shrine figure depicting the god Vishnu, the preserver, and his wives Sri Devi and Bhu Devi. Each figure stands atop an integral plinth in front of an archway in the background. Vishnu presents holding a pair of meditational implements in his back hands while holding his front hands in a mudra, his wives each brandishing a vajra as they lean in towards him.
