Description:

Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Anamese (sometimes Annamese), ca. 15th century CE. A refined porcelain bottle with a discoidal foot, a piriform body, and a fluted neck rising to a flared pinhole opening. The vessel is ornately decorated with a loose black-on-white avian and floral motif of a minimalist nature. A series of bird-shaped silhouettes are displayed across the mid-section, framed between identical black lined borders. The neck features repeating leaves intermixed with linear encirclements. A delightful craquelure covers the entirety of the partially glazed surface. Size: 5.25" Diameter x 8.5" H (13.3 cm x 21.6 cm)
