Description:

Southeast Asia, present day Vietnam or Thailand, Annamese or Sawankhalok (Si Satchanalai), ca. 15th century CE. A gorgeous pottery bowl featuring impressively thin walls that gently spread outwards to form a shallow basin, a rounded body, and a flared, annular rim, all sitting upon a concave, discoid foot. Enveloped in a beautiful shade of celadon, the elegant vessel has been adorned with a series of incised rings at the center of its basin and along its rim, as a lovely pattern of vertical, parallel striations decorates the area in between. An undulating ridge embellishes the outer edge of the rim. Size: 9.375" in diameter x 2.75" H (23.8 cm x 7 cm)
