Description:

Southeast Asia, modern day Vietnam, Annamese (sometimes Anamese), ca. 15th century CE. A wonderful pottery bowl exhibiting a discoid foot, a deep basin, and impressively thin walls that rise to a gently flared rim. Enveloped in a lustrous glaze of mottled sage and olive hues, this elegant vessel is adorned by a ring of dozens of incised striations in shades of beige and cream on its interior that circles a lovely speckled design. Note the intriguing ripple of the rim created during its construction! Size: 6.75" in diameter x 3.25" H (17.1 cm x 8.3 cm)
