Description:

Southeast Asia, modern day Vietnam, Anamese (sometimes Annamese) culture, ca. 15th to 17th century CE. A finely painted porcelain jar completed in the traditional blue-on-white manner with a linear floral motif gracing its exterior. The lidded vessel has a rotund body featuring robust shoulders and a concaved circular base which is flat at the bottom. The painted program is an off-set arrangement of repeating floral elements set apart by ornate linear framing. An amazing craquelure accents its creamy white ground beautifully. Size: 5.33" W x 6.75" H (13.5 cm x 17.1 cm)
