Description:

Far East, Vietnam or Thailand, ca. 15th century CE. This is a complementary pair of green celadon wares with linear/leaf-life designs. One is a bowl with a flared, shaped rim; the other is a vase with a narrow neck leading to a flared rim. Both have unpainted feet. Ceramic items like these were made by southeast Asian potters specifically for commercial trade. The chipped rim on the vase gives you a unique chance to see the raw materials used in making these items. Size of vase: 5.6" W x 9.5" H (14.2 cm x 24.1 cm); size of bowl: 7.65" W x 3" H (19.4 cm x 7.6 cm).

Provenance: Ex-private CA Collection acquired before 1985.

All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.

A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany all winning bids.
