Southeast Asia, Thailand, Ayutthaya period, ca. 15th to 16th century CE. A wonderful redware jar displaying a carinated body, a rounded base, a raised rim, and a concave lid with a prominent knob-shaped handle at the center. Incised and impressed striated designs embellish the exterior of the both vessel and lid. Size: 6.5" Diameter x 6.5" H (16.5 cm x 16.5 cm)

Provenance: Cultural Patina Gallery, Burke, Virginia, USA, acquired from locals at the Ayutthaya Ruins outside of Bangkok, Thailand around 1974
