Pre-Columbian, with examples from the Chimu of Peru (ca. 1100 to 1470 CE), West Mexico (ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE), Chavin Tembladera of Peru (ca. 900 to 200 BCE), the Manabi Bahia of Peru (ca. 5th to 1st century BCE), the Tairona of Colombia (ca. 800 to 1200 CE), the Maya of Mexico and Central America (ca. 550 to 900 CE), and the Manabi of Ecuador (ca. 250 BCE to 600 CE). A very interesting collection of 15 stone, shell, and terracotta amulets, most pierced for suspension and most anthropomorphic or zoomorphic. Size of largest: .6" W x 1" H (1.5 cm x 2.5 cm)
