Description:

Near East, Islamic world, ca. 14th to 15th century CE. A thickly glazed, brown ceramic oil lamp in the classic medieval Islamic style. The bowl of the lamp is round, set down inside a raised rim with a wide lip; the bowl extends outward into a long, triangular spout with a deep gutter. A curved handle flows from the opposite side of the bowl, from the spout down to the elongated leg of the vessel. A saucer area with a raised rim forms the foot. Size: 5.75" L x 3.25" W x 4.05" H (14.6 cm x 8.3 cm x 10.3 cm)
