A single double sided paper folio from a Qur'an manuscript, the surah verses handwritten in rounded naskhi script with small red flourishes and gold rosettes. The right margin features a shamsah (medallion) in gold. The page is professionally framed with a open back to view the page verso. The red punctuation marks aid in the vocalization and recitation of the text; thus, increasing its visual and auditory aesthetic. Reciting the Qur'an is a highly regarded art in the Islamic faith and is called "tajwid," an Arabic term that literally translates to "beautification."   • Condition: Professionally mounted in a frame with an open verso to view both sides. Staining and foxing to page. Tiny pinhole perforations, but page is otherwise intact. Some fading to pigments, but overall excellent condition.
