A beautiful fragment square of a blue silk and satin textile embroidered with white silk in geometric and floral patterns and mounted in a modern glass and wood frame. Blue textiles are often worn by the non-Muslim minorities such as Coptic Christians during the Mamluk and Ottoman period. Size of textile: 8" L x 8" W (20.3 cm x 20.3 cm); frame: 14.5" L x 14.5" W (36.8 cm x 36.8 cm)
