Description:

Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Khmer Empire, ca. 12th to 13th century CE. A cast-bronze figure of Uma, goddess of beauty and love as well as consort of Shiva. The figure stands atop an integral plinth while holding 2 petite attributes, has bangles adorning her arms, and wears a large necklace above her globular breasts. Her face exhibits generously lidded eyes, full lips, a flush nose, and lengthy ear lobes, all beneath a tiered cap. Thick green patina has formed across the surfaces. Size: 1.8" W x 5.2" H (4.6 cm x 13.2 cm); 7.625" H (19.4 cm) on included custom stand.
