Southeast Asia, Thailand, Rattanakosin Period, ca. 19th to 20th century CE; Cambodia, Khmer, ca. 12th to 13th century CE. A fine pair of cast leaded-bronze and brass Buddha heads from southeast Asia. The larger is Bayon style of Khmer empire with individual hair nodules and conical ushnisha topknot. The Thai Buddha has a headdress with featrues that are incised, arching brows and well defined eyeslids. Size of Khmer head: 1.5" Diameter x 2.5" H (3.8 cm x 6.4 cm); 3.5" H (8.9 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private Arlington, Texas, USA collection, acquired mid to late-1960s
