Description:

Middle East / Near East, Islamic World, ca. 11th to 13th century CE. A charming terracotta pitcher, with a rounded body and a strap handle that rises from the widest part of the body to the slight rim. The lower body is painted an earthy red; above that, around the center of the body, is a thick black line on a creamy white background. Above this are narrow, criss-crossing lines that meet another black stripe just below the flaring neck. Size: 6.65" W x 7" H (16.9 cm x 17.8 cm)
