Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A set of 11 fragmentary pieces of redware pottery known as terra sigillata (literally "stamped earth"), each with an intricate, mold-formed decoration in low relief. The presented motifs include a man in a boat, actor maskettes, petite vessels, a standing figure, a figure with a shield, a shepherd, and a woman with exposed breasts presenting an offering dish. Size of largest: 3.9" L x 3.5" W (9.9 cm x 8.9 cm)
