East Asia, China, Tang Dynasty, ca. 618 to 907 CE. A nice gathering of 11 cast-leaded-bronze belt components of rectangular forms. First are 5 panels with horizontal slits beneath waterfowl flying upwards with left-facing heads. Second are 4 panels with equine or leonine creatures. Third is a rectangular buckle panel with one rounded end that bears two waterfowl flying above the bows of a tree with two trunks. The largest buckle panel features ample remains of gilding across the obverse. Size of largest: 3.1" L x 1.6" W (7.9 cm x 4.1 cm)
