A pretty pottery bowl hand-glazed with mesmerizing, abstract decoration of vegetal and geometric motifs in emerald green, lemon yellow, and black. Nishapur was a center of politics and culture in medieval Persia, and their pottery is some of the most unique and beautiful in history. Size: 7.4" Diameter x 3" H (18.8 cm x 7.6 cm)

Provenance: private Los Angeles, California, USA collection, originally imported to the US in the early 1960s, thence by descent to present owner circa 2010s
