Near East, Persia, Nishapur, ca. late 10th century to early 13th century CE. A stunning pottery jar displaying a narrow base and impressively thin walls that flare outwards to a wide, rounded shoulder, a narrow neck, and a flared rim, all sitting upon an applied discoid foot. A set of 3 ribbon-form handles elegantly rise from the shoulder. Beautiful remains of turquoise, olive, and cream-colored glazes decorate the exterior, with a dazzling splattering of silvery and rainbow iridescence complementing the ancient vessel's graceful form. Size: 7.5" in diameter x 9" H (19 cm x 22.9 cm)
