Ancient Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Khmer, ca. 10th to 13th century CE. A set of 2 large bells - each with an integral suspension bale - accompanied by dozens of petite spherical bells suspended from a length of modern metal wire. Each bell is covered in thick layers of naturally-occurring patina in hues of green and brown. Size (bell strand): 20.25" L (51.4 cm); (largest bell): 1.22" L x 1.36" W x 2.34" H (3.1 cm x 3.5 cm x 5.9 cm)

Provenance: private southern California, USA collection, acquired before 2000
